Acuity Inc. is seeking a Research Engineer in the Applied Research & Technology team to bridge machine learning research with software engineering for spatial intelligent environments.

You will productionize ML models and integrate with AV control infrastructures across QSC/Q-SYS ecosystems, Distech, and Atrius IoT platforms to drive next-gen building intelligence and smart room automation.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of software development with strong Python and OO design.
• ML model development/deployment experience using modern frameworks.
• Practical understanding of CV fundamentals and spatial sensing concepts.
• Familiarity with AV technologies, QSC/Q-SYS architectures, and control APIs.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, test, and deploy real-time ML pipelines for edge and cloud vision tasks.
• Implement vision-based occupancy analytics and spatial perception applications.
• Develop integrations connecting ML with AV control ecosystems (Q-SYS, audio, room tech).
• Write production-grade code in Python/C/C++/Go/TypeScript for edge devices and services.
• Prototype to production: validate spatial intelligence algorithms at scale.
• Collaborate across hardware, firmware, software, and product teams.
