Position(s) is/are eligible for a hybrid telework schedule for employees who can satisfactorily perform their essential work functions independently and remotely. Working Conditions
About the location – Peace Officer Selection and Employee Development – CPOST facilitates the statewide Apprenticeship Program for all correctional peace officer classifications which include Correctional Officer, Parole Agent, Correctional Counselor, Fire Captain, Youth Correctional Counselor, and Youth Correctional Officer. CPOST develops, approves, and monitors standards for the selection and training of state correctional peace officers up to and including second-line supervisors.

The position(s) is eligible for hybrid telework, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.

Candidates new to CDCR/CCHCS are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting, as well as a Tuberculosis test/evaluation prior to appointment, followed by department annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter.
