The University of Miami invites applications for a Contracts and Grants Officer 2 in Coral Gables. This role negotiates research contracts, reviews terms, and ensures compliance with agency requirements and UM policies.

The officer provides guidance to faculty and staff on sponsored research, collaborates with IRB, Risk Management, Tech Transfer, and General Counsel, and stays current with regulatory changes affecting contracts and grants.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of contracting experience in research.
• Knowledge of NIH, DOD, NSF, NASA, DOE and related regulations.
• Ability to work independently with strong communication and ethics.
• Experience with sponsored/unfunded research agreements and subawards.

Responsabilidades

• Drafts, reviews, negotiates terms for research contracts per University guidelines.
• Provides guidance to faculty and staff on sponsored research administration.
• Collaborates with IRB, Risk Management, Tech Transfer, Export Control, GC.
• Adheres to policies and safeguards University assets.
• Keeps abreast of regulatory changes affecting contracts portfolio.
