Job summary

Marist College seeks a Research Computing Technical Specialist to join the Infrastructure team. You will be a technical resource for faculty, students, and staff, helping design and support advanced computing, AI, data science, and cloud workflows.

You will administer research computing environments including IBM zSystems and cloud services, contribute to performance optimization, documentation, and training, and participate in lifecycle planning and workload management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of related experience.
• Adaptability in a rapidly changing technological environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical resource for faculty, students and staff utilizing research computing services.
• Administer, configure, monitor, and maintain research computing environments including IBM zSystems and Linux servers.
• Support AI and research applications by configuring software environments and optimizing workflows.
• Assist lifecycle management of research computing infrastructure and scheduling resources.
• Create documentation, deliver training, and promote reproducible research.
