Job summary

Jobgether seeks a Research Computing Software Engineer (Platform Observability) to design and operate observability infra for high-performance computing environments. You will work across metrics, logs, and distributed tracing, building dashboards, alerts, and health monitoring within Agile teams.

The role emphasizes CI/CD pipelines, secure Linux-based infrastructure, and container orchestration across bare-metal and cloud deployments.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher with relevant experience; security clearance eligibility.
• Experience with DevSecOps, Linux infra, and system administration.
• Proficient in infrastructure automation and scripting.
• CI/CD pipeline development and deployment knowledge.
• Familiar with container orchestration and cloud-native tech.
• Understanding of observability: metrics, logs, traces.
• Experience with observability platforms and dashboards preferred.
• Familiar with SLIs/SLOs and incident response is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design automated infrastructure for HPC environments using Agile methods.
• Build and operate observability infrastructure: metrics, logging, tracing.
• Develop and monitor CI/CD pipelines for infra code.
• Deploy workloads across bare-metal and cloud/container platforms.
• Support platform reliability and incident response readiness.
• Document code, review PRs, and engage with teams.
