Job summary

Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi seeks a Research Compliance Specialist II to support faculty investigators in regulatory management of research projects and related administrative tasks. Under supervision, you will coordinate protocol reviews, track approvals, and ensure compliance with IACUC, IBC, and biosafety requirements.

You will also oversee research study records, maintain lab operations SOPs, and assist in inspections and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology or related area.
• Two years of related experience.
• Knowledge of biosafety/lab safety requirements and regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports.

Responsibilities

• Protocol Review: draft initial submissions and ensure approvals before start.
• Maintain research approvals for IACUC and IBC, manage reviews and amendments.
• Oversee research records including case report forms and lab documentation.
• Develop and update SOPs for laboratory operations and inspections.
