Job summary

Texas A&M University Health Science Center is seeking a Research Specialist I to support clinical research activities in Corpus Christi. The role involves compiling and reviewing data, performing projections and analyses, and supporting investigators and study personnel in day-to-day tasks.

The position reports to IBT located in downtown Houston but works at a non-TAMU private clinical office in Corpus Christi. Weekend/after-hours work may be required and the funding is grant-based.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Four years of related experience in a specialized and relevant field of research.
• Experience with regulatory documentation is preferred.
• HIPAA and GCP knowledge is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Compiles and reviews data and metadata.
• Collects samples and measurements for experiments.
• Implements and maintains data collection and summarization of clinical trials.
• Computes projections.
• Performs analysis and tests.
• Maintains HIPAA compliance and participant confidentiality.
• Enter study data into electronic databases and EMRs.
• Assist in sponsor monitoring visits, audits, and inspections.
