An innovative organization is seeking a Research Community Health Educator to enhance community health through educational programs focused on cancer prevention and clinical trial enrollment. The Research Community Health Educator (RCHE) should be based in or able to travel (at least 2-3 times per week) to the following catchment areas: Ft. Myers, Cape Coral, Naples, Immokalee, Clewiston. There will be occasional (2-3 times per year) travel to the Tampa area.
The RCHE will develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs for community members, partner agencies, professional community audiences, and other health providers. These programs will focus on Moffitt Cancer Center (MCC) defined target areas and specific community sites in Tampa, FL, and surrounding areas. The initiative emphasizes cancer clinical trial enrollment and prevention strategies to improve community health and promote health behaviors such as cancer screening. All educational activities will be culturally and linguistically appropriate, aligning with national imperatives.
This position can be either a Moffitt institutional role or a research-specific role, depending on needs. The portfolio of work will be assigned by the PI or manager of record and conducted under the supervision of the Principal Investigator(s) and Lead Research Community Health Educator.
