Job summary

SingulOmics Corporation in New York seeks a hands-on scientist to perform advanced single-cell and spatial biology workflows and manage laboratory operations. This role is primarily lab-based (80%) with additional operations responsibilities near 20% of time.

The successful candidate will process client samples, execute 10x Genomics workflows, evaluate experimental quality, troubleshoot issues, and help ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, genomics, biotechnology, or related field with 3+ years lab experience; or Master’s with 1+ year; or PhD in related field.
• Hands-on molecular-biology experience including nucleic-acid extraction, PCR, QC, and NGS library prep.
• Ability to follow complex protocols and produce accurate, reproducible results.
• Experience evaluating QC results and troubleshooting procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to sample integrity and data quality.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform single-cell, multiomic, and spatial biology workflows per SOPs and standards.
• Process biological specimens including tissues, primary cells, cell suspensions, nuclei, and extracted nucleic acids.
• Prepare samples, tissue dissociation, cell/nuclei isolation, nucleic-acid extraction, QC, PCR, and NGS library prep.
• Perform 10x Genomics single-cell and spatial workflows.
• Evaluate QC results and identify potential issues.
• Troubleshoot procedures and document results.
• Maintain accurate experimental records and sample-tracking.
• Test and implement new single-cell/spatial protocols.
• Coordinate experimental activities with team to ensure timely completion.
