Texas A&M AgriLife Research in McGregor seeks a Research Associate to supervise experiments, manage data collection, and assist researchers at the McGregor Research Center. The role requires handling equipment, coordinating schedules, and ensuring data integrity across multiple software systems.

Responsibilities include data analysis, reporting, and training staff on AgriWebb and related tools, with a focus on cattle research and field operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of two years of related professional experience.
• Familiarity with appropriate laboratory and/or technical equipment.
• Ability to use a computer to create databases and perform tasks.
• Ability to multitask and communicate effectively.
• Experience supervising students or staff is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise experiments at the McGregor Research Center, coordinating labor, data collection, and equipment use.
• Evaluate and apply standard techniques; collect, transfer, and summarize data.
• Assist researchers and graduate students with data collection, feed management, and animal care.
• Use software to perform data analysis and interpret results for publications.
• Maintain financial accounts for research projects and coordinate data entry into systems.
• Train staff to use AgriWebb, Farmbrite, and TEAMs Excel Cattle Files.
