Job summary

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with two years of related experience, familiarity with research equipment, and strong data handling skills. Travel across Texas is expected, with a focus on field operations and collaborative work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Two years of related professional experience.
• Familiarity with appropriate laboratory and/or technical equipment.
• Ability to effectively utilize a computer and applicable software to create databases, perform statistical analyses, present data and perform other computer related tasks.
• Ability to multi task and work cooperatively with others.

Responsibilities

• Oversee establishment, maintenance, and management of agricultural field experiments, including plot layout, planting, fertilization, irrigation, and harvest activities.
• Collect field data on crop growth, yield, soil properties, plant health, water use, and environmental conditions.
• Conduct soil, plant, and water sampling using standardized methods.
• Operate field instruments and equipment to support research activities.
• Prepare and maintain field research sites and equipment; assist with calibration and maintenance.
