BEPC is actively looking for a Research Associate III – Assay Development in the Tucson, AZ area!

W2 Contract – 24 months with possible extensions

Pay Rate: $31.00 – $34.00/hour – Determined based on experience. (Paid Weekly)

Summary of the Position

BEPC is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate III – Assay Development to join our client’s site in Tucson, AZ. This role will support research, development, and manufacturing laboratory experimentation through the design, execution, and interpretation of experiments. The position involves applying technical expertise to project strategies, analyzing experimental data, troubleshooting laboratory challenges, and preparing technical documentation while maintaining compliance with established quality standards, including GMP, GLP, and Design Control.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct research, development, and manufacturing laboratory experiments to support our client's projects.
• Design and execute experimental protocols with minimal supervision, including making observations, analyzing data, and interpreting results.
• Apply technical expertise to support project strategies and exercise judgment in selecting appropriate methods and techniques for complex problems.
• Prepare and present technical reports, summaries, experimental protocols, and quantitative analyses.
• Maintain complete and accurate laboratory documentation and records in compliance with company policies, including GMP, GLP, and Design Control.
• Troubleshoot experimental and technical problems and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members, providing creative solutions and contributing to project planning.
• Recommend process improvements and assist in identifying potentially patentable inventions.
• Train colleagues and monitor laboratory activities to ensure quality and continuous adherence to established quality principles.

Main Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences.
• Experience: 4–6 years of relevant post-college work experience.
• Laboratory Techniques: Proficiency in specialized wet laboratory techniques, including pipetting, using laboratory balances, stir plates, and related equipment.
• Experimental Design: Ability to design, execute, troubleshoot, and interpret laboratory experiments with minimal supervision.
• Scientific Research: Ability to search, review, and apply scientific literature.
• Computer Skills: Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare and present technical findings.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to experimental work, data analysis, and laboratory documentation.
• Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, receive feedback, and contribute to shared project objectives.
• Adaptability: Demonstrated willingness and ability to learn new techniques and approaches.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with SAFe/Agile planning processes and reporting frameworks.
