BEPC is seeking a Clinical Lab Scientist I to join our client’s site in Tucson, AZ. This W2 contract role (12 months, with possible extensions) supports clinical and medical research activities, including laboratory analysis, trial data evaluation, and research compliance, with FFPE experience preferred.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in a clinical laboratory, strong analytical and communication skills, and a team-oriented approach.

This role will support clinical and medical research activities, including laboratory analysis, clinical trial data evaluation, and research compliance. The ideal candidate will bring experience in clinical laboratory environments, including Formalin‑Fixed, Paraffin‑Embedded (FFPE) samples, along with strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead clinical and medical research studies.
• Analyze clinical trial data and publish research findings.
• Ensure compliance with applicable medical research regulations.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and research teams to support research activities.
• Support drug and therapy development efforts.

Main Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Life Sciences.
• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Experience working with Formalin‑Fixed, Paraffin‑Embedded (FFPE) samples.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Demonstrated teamwork, adaptability, and willingness to follow direction.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to deliver consistent results.
• Knowledge of industry best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in histology or automated immunohistochemistry (IHC).
• Experience with automated IHC staining platforms, particularly the client's laboratory platform, is a significant plus.
• Histotechnologist certification (HT or HTL).
• Previous experience supporting clinical trials.
