Job summary

BigHat Biosciences is seeking a driven Research Associate II, Production in San Mateo, CA to support its high-throughput automated platform for antibody production and deep molecular characterization.

You will perform automated and manual processing, help scale the platform, and contribute to reagent manufacturing while maintaining thorough records and collaborating to improve production workflows.

Qualifications

BS in Biology or Chemistry, with 2+ years of industry experience.
Experience in process execution, laboratory method development, optimization, and troubleshooting.
Ability to work specific workday schedules (e.g., 7AM–3PM or 10AM–6PM).
Hands-on experience with automated liquid handlers; familiarity with LIMS is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform automated and manual high-throughput processing on the BigHat platform, including DNA preparation, protein expression, and protein characterization.
Contribute to the scaling up of BigHat’s platform and production-grade data generation.
Support PRAS reagent manufacture efforts.
Execute experiments to optimize performance efficiency of the platform.
Keep detailed records using BigHat documentation tools and communicate results clearly.
Collaborate on SOPs for sample processing.
