UC San Diego Health Sciences seeks a Staff Research Associate I in Cellular/Molecular Medicine to support multiple research projects. The role involves performing standard lab procedures in biochemistry, molecular biology, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and immunoblotting under supervision.

Candidates will maintain lab supplies, handle waste per EH&S, manage ordering, and assist with instrument calibration and operation, in a fast-paced environment within a diverse research team.

Formación

• Theoretical knowledge of molecular and cellular biology.
• Working knowledge of DNA techniques.
• Lab experience with sterile techniques and mammalian cell culture.
• Ability to learn new laboratory procedures quickly.
• Knowledge of various computer software and lab equipment.
• Attention to detail and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Experience with bacteriology and bacterial cell competency.
• Ability to perform data analysis.
• Strong organizational skills and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilidades

• Perform standard repetitive laboratory procedures including biochemistry and molecular biology assays, cell biology, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and immunoblotting.
• Enter requests in lab ordering system and maintain documentation.
• Organize and maintain lab supplies; dispose biohazardous and chemical waste per EH&S guidelines.
• Assist with maintenance, calibration, and operation of laboratory equipment.
• Collaborate with a diverse, dynamic research team to support multiple projects.
