UC San Diego Health Sciences in La Jolla seeks a Staff Research Associate II in Neurosciences. Under supervision, you will coordinate day-to-day laboratory operations, manage the mouse colony, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

This 100% appointment supports PI-led neuroscience research, with responsibilities including genotyping, tissue collection, data organization, and contributing to grant proposals and publications.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in genetics, molecular biology or related field.
• Experience with mouse colony maintenance, genotyping, tissue collection and prep.
• Ability to design experiments using literature and data to meet goals.
• Independent decision making with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Lab management experience including ordering supplies and safety oversight.
• Experience contributing to grant proposals, reports and publications.
• Proficiency with standard software and lab data management.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate day-to-day lab operations and animal colony management.
• Maintain regulatory and safety documentation and EH&S compliance.
• Support genotyping, tissue collection, and tissue prep for neuroscience studies.
• Act as lab and safety manager.
• Assist in grant writing, progress reports and publications.
• Collaborate with PI and lab members to optimize resources.
