Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in genetics, molecular biology or neuroscience.
• Experience with mouse models, genotyping, tissue collection and prep.
• Strong design of experiments with literature-based planning.
• Independent decision making, strong analysis and problem-solving.
• Lab management, supplies, equipment and safety oversight.
• Strong grant/proposal, report and manuscript writing capability.
• Knowledge of mouse genetics, husbandry and large colony management.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint; basic design tools.
• Meticulous record-keeping and data interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day lab operations with the PI and team.
• Manage animal colony, regulatory docs and safety requirements.
• Perform genotyping, tissue collection and lab procedures.
• Help with grant proposals, progress reports and publications.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure EH&S compliance.
