• Experience with lab maintenance and equipment calibration is required.
• Experience with MS Office is required.
• Experience handling and working with hazardous/ biohazardous materials or infectious substances is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety and record keeping is highly preferred.

We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a Research Associate I for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in San Diego, CA, 92127. Details of the position are as follows:

Job Description:

• Pay: $24.00- 26.00/hr to start.
• 1- year contract to start with the possibility of extension or conversion based on budget and performance.
• Shift: Monday- Friday, standard day shift, onsite position.
• Position will mainly be responsible for performing minimally complex experiments, understanding experimental goals, analyzing and summarizing experimental data, documenting work, preparing reagents and panels, and communicating results with peers and supervisors.
• Responsibilities also include participating in lab maintenance, maintaining training logs, safely handling and disposing of hazardous, bio-hazardous, and infectious substances, and operating and calibrating general laboratory equipment.
• Position will also be responsible for providing input into experimental design and, with supervisor instruction, writing study protocols and reports to support project activities.

Qualifications:
