Job summary

Howard University’s Talent Acquisition team seeks qualified candidates to support research recruitment efforts. The role involves screening and enrolling study participants, explaining procedures, obtaining informed consent, and coordinating visit schedules.

You will maintain study files, perform data management tasks, assist with reports and grants, and participate in team meetings while upholding College of Medicine standards, safety, and patient rights.

Responsibilities

• Recruits subjects to participate in research studies; assesses eligibility; enrolls participants with informed consent.
• Schedules appointments of study participants and reminds them about appointments.
• Administers questionnaires and conducts interviews per established protocols.
• Identifies subjects with significant clinical concerns and relays to the Program Manager or Principal Investigator.
• Maintains patient study files in accordance with guidelines.
• Performs data management tasks: data entry, basic reports, data cleaning.
• Codes qualitative interviews using codebooks and NVIVO.
• Utilizes Excel/databases to track research activities and record data.
• Aids in reports, grants, presentations, and data analysis; assists with manuscripts.
• Maintains infection control and safety standards; attends trainings and meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
