Temple University seeks a Research Assistant to support a multi-site study identifying biomarkers and predictors of clinical and behavioral outcomes in individuals at risk for psychosis. You will collect data, conduct interviews, and assist with biosample collection and neuroimaging tasks.
The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least six months of related experience, with opportunities to work nights/weekends and contribute to ongoing clinical trials under supervision.
Hourly Rate Range: $15.38 - $19.24
Under the supervision of Dr. Ellman and other senior staff, the research assistant will aid in collecting and managing data in a multi-site study aiming to identify biomarkers and associated predictors of clinical and behavioral outcomes in individuals at risk for psychosis and psychiatric comparison groups.
The research assistant will be involved in data collection at all time points and will administer semi-structured clinical interviews and cognitive tasks, as well as be involved in the collection of biosamples, including EEG data, MRI data, and processing blood samples (e.g., centrifuging and storing in freezers, although blood will be collected by a phlebotomist).
The research assistant will also be trained to work on our active clinical trial, assist lab staff with daily lab operations, such as recruiting participants, managing data, and supervising undergraduate volunteers.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a psychological research lab.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
