The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Tulane University School of Medicine is seeking applications for a faculty position at the rank of Research Assistant Professor. The department is looking for outstanding investigators employing biomarker analyses and multi-disciplinary detection technologies for precision medicine, specifically to enhance research on liquid biopsy for the Center of Cellular and Molecular Diagnostics.
Preference will be given to applicants with extensive experience in mass spectrometry, proteomics, peptidomics, and extracellular vesicle analysis in infectious diseases. Successful candidates will join Professor Tony Hu’s research group, participate in projects funded by NIH and other federal agencies, and develop new research initiatives. Responsibilities include designing and developing novel detection platforms for disease diagnosis, supervising and mentoring students and postdoctoral fellows, and contributing to grant and manuscript writing.
