Job summary

The Adelman Lab at Harvard Medical School is seeking a full-time Research Assistant to join our interdisciplinary team in Boston. This position focuses on investigating gene regulation in diseases like cancer, emphasizing RNA quality control.

You will design and conduct experiments, analyze data, and engage in collaborative research using molecular biology techniques. Ideal candidates have a background in Molecular Biology and a passion for scientific growth.

Qualifications

• College background or equivalent work experience, preferably in Molecular Biology.
• At least one year of related work experience (relevant coursework may count).
• 1 year of research experience in a molecular or cell biology laboratory preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with equipment maintenance and laboratory tasks.
• Cell culture, including differentiation of pluripotent cells.
• Perform genomic analyses and prepare libraries for sequencing.
• Generate cell lines using CRISPR-Cas9.
• Analyze data and prepare figures for manuscripts.
