Job summary

Hebrew SeniorLife is seeking a Research Assistant I to support data collection, management and annotation of clinical notes under the supervision of the Principal Investigator. You will review HSL notes, label information according to study guidelines, and help prepare study materials and analyses.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in a scientific discipline and related lab experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to apply guidelines.
• Professional, proactive, collaborative and results-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Supports data collection, data entry, and database maintenance for assigned projects.
• Reviews and annotates HSL clinical notes using study guidelines to identify relevant information.
• Completes annotation training, applies criteria, and flags ambiguous cases for supervisor.
• Performs quality assurance on annotated notes and datasets, documents discrepancies, and helps resolve disagreements.
• Maintains organized records of annotation decisions, procedures, and progress.
• Assists with preparing research protocols, technical reports, summaries, and quantitative analyses under supervision.
• Maintains familiarity with literature relevant to projects.
• Protects confidentiality of patient information per institutional policies.
• Participates in research team meetings and other duties as assigned.
