Hebrew SeniorLife is seeking a specialized research professional to coordinate daily study activities under the Project Director. This role involves recruiting and screening participants, coordinating data collection, and handling biospecimens, with both on-site and home visits. Strong organization, independence, and communication are essential.

The position requires a B.S. or M.S. in a scientific discipline, 2–5 years (or 1–2 with an M.S.) of related experience, and proficiency with data tools;

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in a scientific discipline with 2–5 years of related experience, or an M.S. in a scientific discipline with 1–2 years of related experience.
• Competent computer literacy; proficiency with Windows, Word, and Excel.
• Experience with REDCap or other electronic data capture system is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Lead the acquisition of experimental data, including dietary assessments, mental well-being questionnaires, adverse events, other study specific questionnaires, and subsequent data entry.
• Lead the recruitment, scheduling, and retention of study participants.
• Conduct screening procedures over the phone as well as in person, and obtain informed consent from research participants.
• Maintains high level of professional expertise through familiarity with scientific literature.
• Exercise discretion and independent judgment on significant research project matters by evaluating and comparing possible courses of action and making a decision or recommendation after considering the various possibilities.
• Act as a liaison with the project investigators and project directors to ensure thorough, yet efficient communication that is related to the study research is maintained.
• Assist in the collection, processing, and/or transportation of biological specimen collection, including blood and stool.
