Job summary

Detroit Recovery Project, Inc. is seeking a Research Assistant to support addiction recovery research, community engagement initiatives, and program development. The role involves collecting and analyzing data, preparing presentations, and collaborating with community partners to advance recovery and wellness.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in a related field and comfort with SPSS, R, Excel, and GIS tools. Flexible scheduling and local travel within Detroit are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, sociology, public health, social work).
• Some health/behavioral health interest preferred.
• Empathy and sensitivity to individuals in addiction recovery and familiarity with addiction recovery programs.

Responsibilities

• Support data collection through interviews, surveys, and other research methods.
• Organize and manage data sets, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in data analysis using statistical and qualitative methods.
• Collaborate with community organizations for engagement and outreach.
• Prepare research findings for presentations and reports.
• Administer surveys and conduct participant interviews.
• Maintain accurate records of research activities and interactions.
• Assist in the development of research protocols and tools.
• Contribute to the design of community workshops and events.
• Travel within Detroit to record data as appropriate to the study.
