Tyson Foods is offering a year‑round internship to motivated students who want to gain hands‑on experience in a leading food company. You will work on meaningful projects, participate in R&D tasks, and develop technical and leadership skills through project-based work.

The program emphasizes sustainability and excellence, with opportunities to network across departments and potentially convert interns to full‑time roles after graduation.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in Sophomore, Junior, or Senior year or pursuing a Master’s/Doctorate.
• Majors in Food Science, Animal Science, Agriculture, or Business preferred.
• Must have at least one year of school remaining.

Responsabilités

• Assist and support food scientists and technicians.
• Complete a high volume of R&D projects daily.
• Follow verbal and written instructions and apply them to assigned tasks.
• Ensure data collection/entry, product evaluations, and hand samples are completed daily.
• Assist with pilot plant/plant trials as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist and support food scientists and technicians.
• Successfully complete a high volume of Research and Development projects daily.
• Follow verbal and written instructions well and apply them to various assigned tasks.
• Ensure data collection/entry, product evaluations, and hand samples are successfully completed each day.
• Assist with pilot plant/plant trials, as needed.

Our goal is to convert top performing interns into full‑time team members post‑graduation, fully equipped with the tools and experiences needed to succeed.

Requirements

• Education: Must be in good standing; must be entering Sophomore, Junior, or Senior year or pursuing master’s or Doctorate degree, required. Food Science, Animal Science, and other Agriculture and Business majors preferred. Must have at least one year of school remaining.
• Experience: Previous work experience in any field preferred. Experience related to R&D and Food Science preferred.
• Computer Skills: Strong computer skills with a working knowledge of Excel, familiarity with Access, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Special Skills: Ability to multitask, motivated self‑starter, and collaborative.

Work Hours: Must be able to work 40 hours through the summer and up to 25hours throughout the school year as classes allow.

Location: Students must be within commutable distance to the facility, which is 60 miles or less.
