Job summary

NOARK Electric in the United States (Dallas) seeks an experienced R&D leader to drive product development for medium voltage switchgear and vacuum circuit breakers in the North American market. You will manage full product lifecycle from concept to certification, build a local R&D team, and ensure compliance with UL/IEEE standards while coordinating with HQ and cross-functional partners.

Requires 8+ years in R&D, strong cross-cultural skills, and fluency in English; Creo/SolidWorks proficiency

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical/electrical fields.
  • 8+ years in R&D/design of MV switchgear and breakers; familiarity with UL/IEEE.
  • Experience leading cross-border R&D teams and aligning HQ strategy with local needs.
  • Proficient in 3D CAD tools ( Creo, SolidWorks ).
  • Strong English skills and proactive work attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Lead market-driven product development plans for the North American region.
  • Oversee full lifecycle R&D for MV switchgear and vacuum circuit breakers, ensuring compliance with NA and international standards.
  • Guide the design, prototyping, type testing, certification, and industrialization processes.
  • Drive performance, cost optimization, reliability, and quality improvements.
  • Manage R&D projects from initiation to monetization, on time, within budget.
  • Gradually build a local R&D team and align with product management, marketing, and manufacturing.
  • Participate in standards formulation and provide feedback to HQ.

Job description

Conduct in-depth research on North American market demand, industry trends, and competitor dynamics to develop product development plans tailored to regional characteristics. Track cutting-edge technologies, drive technological innovation, and promote the transformation of technological achievements.

Responsible for the full lifecycle R&D of product lines such as medium voltage switchgear (AIS/GIS) and vacuum circuit breakers in the North American market, ensuring that product R&D complies with relevant North American and international standards.

Responsible for the entire process of new product design, prototype manufacturing, type testing, product certification, and industrialization implementation;

  • Manage the entire process of R&D projects from project initiation to monetization, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, to quality, and within budget;
  • Gradually building a local R&D team for medium voltage switchgear product line. As a key interface person between the R&D team and other teams, such as product management, marketing, and manufacturing, drive cross-functional team collaboration;
  • Participate in the formulation of relevant standards.
  • Regularly provide feedback to headquarters on problem analysis, opportunities, collected information, etc. regarding R&D operations.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree or above in mechanical, electrical or other related majors;

2. 8 years or more of experience in R&D and design of products such as medium voltage switchgear and circuit breakers, familiar with existing products in the same industry in the North American market; familiar with the UL/IEEE standard system.

3. Has practical experience in building cross-border R&D teams, can balance the headquarters' strategy with local market needs, and possesses cross-cultural communication and resource integration capabilities;

4. Proficient in using any 3D design software, such as Creo

Solidworks,etc.;

5. Possess good independent working ability and have a proactive and positive work attitude;

6. Proficient in English listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

7. Passionate about technology, with strong adaptability, execution ability, and teamwork skills.

8. Work Location: US (Dallas or others ).
