Advantage Technical is seeking a Research Analytic Chemist for a 6+ month contract to support a busy analytical laboratory within a global specialty chemicals leader. 6+ Month Contract - We are seeking an experienced Research Analytic Chemist to support a busy analytical laboratory within a global leader in specialty chemicals. This hands‑on role offers the opportunity to perform daily analytical testing while also partnering with laboratory and site teams to troubleshoot analytical questions and provide timely technical support.

The ideal candidate is an adaptable analytical chemist who can manage a consistent workload while quickly shifting priorities when emerging problems or site needs require immediate attention.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Perform daily analytical testing while maintaining a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.
• Provide analytical support to laboratory and site teams, helping investigate and resolve general analytical questions and problems.
• Operate and interpret results from analytical instrumentation and systems, with strong proficiency in at least two of the following: GC, LC, FT-IR/FT-NIR, TGA/DSC, or Metrohm titration systems.
• Use OpenLab CDS (version 2.8) for analytical data acquisition, processing, and reporting.
• Document and summarize analytical results clearly in written reports that can be effectively understood by audiences with varying levels of technical expertise.
• Quickly adapt priorities and learn routine analytical methods on instrumentation outside of your existing areas of experience.

What You Will Bring:

• Strong hands‑on experience in analytical chemistry and laboratory testing.
• High proficiency with at least two of the following analytical platforms:
  • -GC: Direct injection, headspace, SPME, FID and/or mass spectrometry
  • -LC: UV-Vis, ELSD and/or mass spectrometry
  • -FT-IR / FT-NIR
  • -TGA / DSC
  • -Metrohm Titrators: OMNIS software
• Experience using OpenLab CDS version 2.8 is required.
• Ability to learn new analytical techniques, instrumentation, and routine methods efficiently.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to respond quickly when priorities change.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate analytical findings into concise, understandable reports.
• 6+ month Contract opportunity with potential for extension.
