Job summary

Advantage Technical is seeking a Research Analytic Chemist for a 6+ month contract to support a busy analytical laboratory within a global specialty chemicals leader. You will perform daily analytical testing and provide technical support to laboratory and site teams, troubleshooting questions and driving timely results.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in analytical chemistry and laboratory testing.
• High proficiency with at least two analytical platforms (GC/LC/FT-IR/FT-NIR/TGA/DSC).
• Ability to learn new analytical techniques and instrumentation quickly.
• Experience using OpenLab CDS version 2.8 is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily analytical testing with accuracy and efficiency.
• Provide analytical support to laboratory and site teams, assisting with investigations.
• Operate and interpret results from analytical instrumentation (GC, LC, FT-IR/FT-NIR, TGA/DSC, Metrohm titration systems).
• Document and summarize results clearly in reports for varied audiences.
• Adapt priorities and learn routine methods on other instrumentation.
• Collaborate with lab and site teams on problem solving and real-time initiatives.
