Job summary

Goldbelt C6 is seeking a Research Analysts (Subject Matter Expert) to support the Office of Policy, Planning, and Resources for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs Research and Evaluation Unit (R/PPR/REU). The analyst will help counter adversarial propaganda by providing research services to public diplomacy practitioners and by evaluating social media and coordination campaigns.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in IR, Data Science, Political Science, Communications, or related field.
• Experience with performance monitoring, indicators, data collection processes, and reporting for large initiatives.
• Five years in intelligence analysis, digital forensics, investigative journalism, or social media analysis.
• Experience with stakeholder analysis and developing internal public diplomacy processes.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate digital and social media analytics platforms.
• Develop policies, processes, and tools to support analytic capabilities.
• Provide direction and mentorship to junior analysts.
• Analyze foreign propaganda and coordinated influence campaigns on social media.
• Conduct netnography, thematic, and multi-modal analyses to identify emerging narratives.
