Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a Grant Administrator to support pre-award and post-award functions, coordinate effort reporting, and manage budgets for research and clinical trials. You will work with investigators and central offices to ensure timely sponsor reporting and compliant financial administration.
The role requires attention to detail, ability to forecast expenditures, and familiarity with institutional policies.
Under the general direction of the Manager/Director performs pre and/or post-award functions. Prepares grant applications, coordinates required institutional reviews and approvals, and works with Principal Investigators to ensure timely submission of funding proposals. Processes financial transactions according to established policies and procedures and may advise PI on financial management of portfolio. Utilizes hospital financial systems to process and monitor financial transactions and reports. May oversee departmental administration of effort reporting and ensures timely submission of completed effort reports. Conduct sub-recipient monitoring as needed. May have signature authority on restricted funds.
Education:
High School Diploma / GED is required.
Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
Business Administration, Public Health area of study is preferred.
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of research administrative or financial experience OR 3 years of research administrative related experience required is required.
