Qualifications

• 40 Hour Rescue Technician with >6 months experience.
• Confined Space Entrant/Attendant Certification.
• Healthcare Provider CPR, First Aid with AED.
• First Responder or better preferred.
• Haz-wopper training.
• 4 Gas Monitor Operation Training.
• Familiar with OSHA Atmosphere Limitation.
• Proven Proficiency in Rescue Operations.

Responsibilities

• Draft a Confined Space Rescue Preplan and a Rescue Safety Analysis (RSA); identify hazards and communicate them.
• Determine hazard controls and ensure PPE is ready and functional.
• May conduct general air quality monitoring and recommend controls.
• Conduct daily job briefings with customers and workers.
• Monitor job conditions and equipment resources; report observations to supervisor.
• Complete daily ICS (Incident Command System) reports.
• In case of accident, locate patient, assess injuries, extricate and hand over to EMS; render first aid and CPR.
• Follow maintenance guidelines for rescue equipment and maintain inventories.
• Assist with special projects as assigned.
