Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a commercial print shop or similar environment preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English and perform counting and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to operate or learn equipment such as high-volume commercial printers or similar digital copiers, bindery equipment (cutters, folders, stitchers, drills, collators, padding machines, shrink wrap, GBC binders, etc.), printing presses (e.g., Ryobi, Heidelberg, AB Dick).
  • Ability to lift and move boxes up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during work shifts.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and/or Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) preferred.
Salary/Pay Grade

$16.61/HS6 (based on verifiable job-related experience, as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year)

Essential Functions
  • Set up, operate, and maintain printing presses, digital copiers, and bindery equipment to complete assigned work orders.
  • Interpret job specifications and select appropriate materials, paper stock, and finishing methods.
  • Perform all phases of print production, including printing, cutting, folding, stitching, drilling, padding, binding, labeling, shrink-wrapping, and shipping.
  • Monitor production for quality control and ensure jobs are completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain production records and track completed work.
  • Perform routine cleaning, inspections, and minor repairs on equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate service when needed.
  • Manage inventory of paper, chemicals, and supplies; order materials as necessary.
  • Organize workload and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Collaborate with team members and assist in other production areas as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Print Center Assistant Manager and/or the Support Services management.
  • Support the Printing and Production Center with regular and reliable attendance.
Demands

Work with time-sensitive deadlines; maintain emotional control under stress. Repetitive hand motions. Frequent standing, walking, pushing, and pulling; moderate lifting and carrying; some stooping, bending, and kneeling. Exposure to noise, dust, fumes, toxic chemicals, and materials.
