Trinity Health Oakland is hiring a Patient Access Rep II to provide patient-focused registration and insurance verification in the Emergency Department. The role is fully on-site with cross-training across Pre-Service and Bed Desk functions.
Minimum qualifications include hospital registration or insurance verification experience and knowledge of medical terminology, diagnostic coding, and procedural coding. HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA within one year of hire is required.
Employment Type: Full time Shift: Night Shift Description: We have multiple openings currently, with our full time opening being on Night Shift. (36 hours, 3 12 hour shifts. Approximatley 6pm-6:30am). We also have a part-time day shift position available as of 9/22, and an open contingent role for coverage on all shifts. Provides patient focused customer service within the Emergency Department. Performs outpatient & / or inpatient registration & insurance verification functions; collects patient financial liability payments & ensures that patients meet financial requirements including Medicare medical necessity, payer pre-certifications & referrals.
