Job summary

Keesler Federal Credit Union is seeking a Repossession Specialist in its Collections department to support the recovery, remarketing, and liquidation of collateral loans while complying with state and federal regulations.

The role requires attention to detail, effective communication with members and vendors, and proven ability to manage repossession workflows, maintain accurate records, and meet service levels.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One to three years of similar or related experience preferred.
• Outgoing personality with helpful attitude and strong telephone service skills.
• Accuracy and attention to detail required.

Responsibilities

• Review repossession recommendations to ensure all collection efforts have been exhausted.
• Manage repossession queues and ensure follow-through with updates documented.
• Assign vehicles for repossession and coordinate with agents throughout the recovery process.
• Review tow and impound notices to minimize credit union loss.
• Submit repossession reports to management on a rotating schedule (weekly or monthly).
• Maintain up-to-date inventory of repossessed collateral and current disposition status.
• Collaborate with remarketing vendors and third parties on notices, transports, and condition reports.
