Innova Solutions seeks a Reporting Business Analyst for a client in Charlotte, NC. The role focuses on translating stakeholder needs into robust reporting solutions and delivering actionable insights through dashboards and reports.

You will optimize SQL queries, create Power BI dashboards, paginated and SSRS reports, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive data-driven decisions. This is a full-time contract position.

Qualifications

• Hands-on software developer experience is required.
• Experience developing, maintaining, and supporting reports with Power BI, Report Builder, and SSRS.
• Advanced SQL expertise to read, write, modify, optimize, and troubleshoot complex queries.
• Ability to learn proprietary SQL-based development tools and processes quickly.

Job description

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Report Development/ Business Analyst

Position type: Fulltime, Contract. Duration: 3+ months. Location: Charlotte, NC 28262.

As a Reporting Business Analyst, you will:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, document, and prioritize reporting and data requirements, translating business needs into technical reporting solutions.
• Optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and datasets to support reporting, analytics, and operational decision-making.
• Conduct data analysis, gap analysis, and impact assessments to identify reporting enhancements and process improvement opportunities.
• Create interactive Power BI dashboards, paginated reports, and SSRS reports to provide actionable business insights and KPI tracking.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous hands-on experience as a Software Developer; business analyst experience alone is not sufficient.
• Experience developing, maintaining, and supporting reports using Power BI, Report Builder, and SSRS.
• Advanced SQL expertise, including the ability to read, write, modify, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries.
• Ability to quickly learn and become proficient in proprietary SQL-based development tools and processes.

This position is only open to applicants who can be engaged on a W-2 basis.

Pay Range and Benefits

Pay Range*: $70- $78 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
