TTI Power Equipment in Anderson, SC has openings for Repair Technicians I, II, and III to support the Recon/Refurbish Department. Competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

The role involves repairing and servicing customer tools/products using hand and small power tools, reading repair orders, diagnosing issues, and documenting work for warranty and billing purposes. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, strong mechanical skills, and 1–2 years of repair

Qualifications

• Prefer an education equivalent to a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have mechanical skills and diagnostic skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Basic computer and writing skills.
• One to two years of previous experience in electrical and/or mechanical repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform all the necessary repairs.
• Read and comprehend repair order information and parts schematics.
• Diagnose the tool by performing a complete function test.
• Perform a complete function test to confirm the tool is repaired properly.
• Complete the information on the repair order form.
• Work involves the disassembly of units, diagnosis of operating difficulty, location, and.
• Replace worn or defective parts within time in accordance with work instructions.
• Assist in other areas of the cell as needed such as material handling, 5’s projects, stock shelves, packing items to ship to QE, etc.
• Make decisions as to the feasibility of repairs.
• Keep records of parts used and provide data for billing and/or warranty information.
• Set up and perform electrical and mechanical tests to ensure the product's repair and/or work.
• Work is subject to in-process and final inspection.
• Responsible for quality of work, safety, and housekeeping in assigned areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
