Job summary

TTI Power Equipment in Anderson, SC is seeking Repair Technicians I–III to support the Recon/Refurbish Department. You will repair and test tools according to procedures, read repair orders and schematics, and keep detailed records for billing and warranties.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of electrical or mechanical repair experience, basic writing and computer skills, and strong attention to detail. The role may involve shipping/receiving and warehouse support as needed in a fast-paced plant

Qualifications

• One to two years of previous experience in electrical and/or mechanical repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform all the necessary repairs.
• Read and comprehend repair order information and parts schematics.
• Diagnose the tool by performing a complete function test.
• Perform a complete function test to confirm the tool is repaired properly.
• Complete the information on the repair order form.
• Disassemble units, diagnose operating difficulty, replace worn/defective parts on time.
• Assist in other areas of the cell such as material handling and stocking.
• Make decisions as to the feasibility of repairs.
• Keep records of parts used for billing and warranty information.
• Set up and perform electrical and mechanical tests to ensure quality.
• Work from parts sheets, specifications, and drawings.
• Perform prescribed inspections.
• May be asked to complete shipping and receiving duties.
• Work under Lead Technician supervision on warranty liability and unusual repair problems.

Job Description: TTI Power Equipment has openings in its Anderson, SC location for Repair Technicians I, II, and III that will support the Recon/Refurbish Department. Repair and Recon

The Repair Technician will perform repair and/or service work for Company products in accordance with prescribed procedures. The job requires using a variety of hand tools and small power tools to take apart and repair the customer’s tools/products.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform all the necessary repairs.
• Read and comprehend repair order information and parts schematics.
• Diagnose the tool by performing a complete function test.
• Perform a complete function test to confirm the tool is repaired properly.
• Complete the information on the repair order form.
• Work involves the disassembly of units, diagnosis of operating difficulty, location, and Replace worn or defective parts within time in accordance with work instructions.
• Assist in other areas of the cell as needed such as material handling, 5’s projects, stock shelves, packing items to ship to QE, etc.
• Make decisions as to the feasibility of repairs.
• Keep records of parts used and provide data for billing and/or warranty information.
• Recognize and report operational irregularities and defective materials.
• Set up and perform electrical and mechanical tests to ensure the product's repair and/or work. performed is in conformance with prescribed quality standards.
• Work from parts sheets, specifications, and drawings.
• Perform prescribed inspections.
• Technicians may also be asked to complete shipping and receiving duties.
• Under the supervision of the Lead Technician make recommendations as to warranty liability and any unusual repair problems.
• Work is subject to in-process and final inspection.
• Responsible for quality of work, safety, and housekeeping in assigned areas.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Prefer an education equivalent to a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have mechanical skills and diagnostic skills.

• Basic computer and writing skills.
• One to two years of previous experience in electrical and/or mechanical repair.

Physical Demands

• Standing for long periods of time.
• Repetitive motion.
• Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling of parts and containers.
• Frequent lifting up to 50lbs – team lifts over 50lbs.
• Able to work in various temperature conditions.
