Job summary

Penmac Staffing is seeking a Repair Technician for a manufacturing client in the United States. The role is full-time with a 5:00 AM–3:30 PM schedule, Monday–Thursday, and pay of $17.75 per hour.

Overtime is required as needed and the work involves fiberglass components and quality workmanship. Responsibilities include inspecting, repairing, and finishing fiberglass parts, preparing surfaces, sanding and polishing, applying gel coat and paints, and performing final inspections while following

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Basic math skills.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
• Ability to identify problems and make repairs as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and finish fiberglass components to meet quality standards.
• Inspect hulls, decks, and completed products for defects or damage.
• Wipe, buff, and prepare surfaces for repair.
• Sanding, polishing, and finishing repaired areas.
• Removing fiberglass defects using hand and power tools.
• Mixing and applying gel coat, catalyst, and other repair materials.
• Correcting paint defects and touch-up areas.
• Repairing cosmetic and structural imperfections.
• Repairing damage that occurs during manufacturing or assembly.
• Performing final inspections and detail work before products leave production.
• Following all safety and quality procedures.
• Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements for the Repair Technician

Repair Technician Responsibilities

Work Environment

This Repair Technician position works in a manufacturing environment with exposure to fiberglass dust, chemicals, solvents, power tools, and varying temperatures. Required personal protective equipment includes safety glasses, closed‑toe shoes, chemical‑resistant gloves, and any additional PPE required by the client.
