Mitsubishi Electric US – Industrial Automation is seeking a Repair Technician for an on-site role based in Mason, Ohio. Training will be conducted in Vernon Hills, Illinois for 8–10 months and is company-paid; no regular travel is required after training. The technician will repair electronic and electrical devices, document repairs in Salesforce, and support the service group.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs on electronic and electrical devices and enter repair information into Salesforce.
• Conduct component-level diagnosis and repairs of CNC, servo/spindle drives, PLC, and other equipment.
• Disassemble units and perform unit setups, replace components to test operability.
• Clean units using ultrasonic cleaning system.
• Provide technical information to the Customer Service Group as needed.
• Enter repair data into the SAP system.
• Perform other job functions as assigned.

Job description

Note: This position is based on-site in Mason, Ohio. However, training will take place in Vernon Hills, Illinois. Training is company-paid and will last approximately 8–10 months. Once training is complete, no regular travel is required.

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the guidance of the Repair Department Supervisor, Manager and/or Engineers, the Repair Technician is responsible for performing repairs on electronic and electrical devices and entering and maintaining product repair information into Salesforce.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in conducting component level diagnosis and repairs of CNC, servo/spindle drives, PLC, and/or other electronic and electrical equipment.
• Disassemble units and conduct unit setups.
• Replace components to test for equipment operability.
• Clean units using ultrasonic cleaning system.
• Support the Customer Service Group by providing requested technical information to the customer.
• Enter repair data into the SAP system.
• Perform other job functions as assigned.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

• Paid travel to Vernon Hills, Illinois, for ongoing training.
• No expected travel after training period.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Associates Degree in electronic engineering, or equivalent work experience repairing electronic/electrical devices.
• Team player with the ability to work effectively with others.
• Good soldering and unsoldering skills.

The target pay range for this position is $50,000-65,000 annually. The listed salary range is approximate and reflects the anticipated compensation for this position as determined by salary analysis; both internal and external to MEAU. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, skills and experience. Compensation may also vary due to market factors. MEAU retains the right to adjust compensation based on business needs.
