Job summary

Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity is seeking a Repair Program Manager to plan, implement, and coordinate home repair projects across El Paso County. You will work in the field with clients, volunteers, staff, and subcontractors while also handling documentation and reporting in the office.

Ideal candidates bring on-site supervisory experience, knowledge of residential repairs, and strong leadership and communication skills.

MISSION

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

This position will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and coordination of individual repair projects. The Repair Program Manager should expect to spend time in the field with clients, volunteers, staff, subcontractors, and suppliers; meeting with organizations and people to expand the awareness of the program; and in the office, depending on the needs of the program clients and Repair Program team. The person in this role should have a resolve to understand and address the housing and repair needs in El Paso County.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Construction Management

• Manage all aspects of the Repair Program application process from start to completion, including inquiries, application processing, initial assessments, Statements of Work, scheduling, partnership agreements, completion-of-work sign off, surveys, repair statistics, documentation, and reporting.
• Manages clear and accurate accounting, cost tracking, budgeting, reporting, with respect to regular analysis of the program’s growth, goals, and budgets.
• Effectively communicates with the Repair Program Supervisors, Volunteer Manager, and vendors to schedule projects, volunteers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Oversees the Repair Project Team regarding quality, productivity, safety, and creating a positive work environment.
• Works with clients to ensure a meaningful project experience.
• Assists in the development of the Repair Program.

Safety

• Identify, understand, and implement up-to-date OSHA safety policies and procedures and ensure they’re adhered to.
• Effectively communicate that safety is the first priority on the Repair sites.

Leadership

• Communicate with timeliness, clarity, positivity, and cultural competence with people of all educational and socio-economic levels and backgrounds, as well as staff, program applicants, volunteers, donors, and vendors.
• Foster an innovative and adaptable team environment
• Provide culturally sensitive services to potential applicants and homeowners.
• Identify and develop potential community partnerships and broaden the repair program outreach and impact to include community organizations, local employers, and other relevant entities.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE

• HS diploma or equivalent required, BA/BS preferred.
• Three or more years of direct on-site experience with increasing responsibility in an applicable setting.
• Thorough understanding of residential construction project management and supervisory experience and knowledge of applicable building codes.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS NECESSARY TO PERFORM THIS JOB

• Ability to work effectively in both office and construction site environments.
• Some weekend and evening hours required.
• Ability to adequately traverse a residential construction job site; climbing, jumping, lifting, carrying (minimum 50 lbs.) or other similar activities as required.
• Ability to maneuver typical construction site obstacles.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS

• Exterior working environment during a variety of weather conditions.
• This is a full-time position Monday to Friday, 9 am- 5 pm, with a schedule consisting of 40 hours per week.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• The hiring range for this position is $60,000 - $68,000 depending on experience and budget.
