Job summary

Smart Start, Inc. in Grapevine, TX is seeking a Repair Technician to learn and support repair, setup, calibration, and testing of recording and control instruments. This position ensures equipment meets specifications under supervision.

The role requires a technical diploma or 1-2 years electronics experience, bench-top soldering, and proficiency with oscilloscopes, DMMs, and PC-based test instruments; Monday–Friday, 8am-5pm, in-office.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or 1-2 years’ experience as an Electronics Technician or related field, or equivalent combination experience and education. Equivalent military experience acceptable.
• Demonstrated ability to use bench-top soldering/desoldering equipment for installing, removing and replacing fine-pitch surface mount electronic components.
• Strong computer skills; must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Working knowledge of bench-top electronic test instruments such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies and PC-based test instrumentation.
• Interpret assembly drawings, diagrams, schematics and work instructions.
• Works well with other team members.
• Required to complete formal training in area of specialty.
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The Repair Technician is responsible for learning and supporting the repair, setup, calibration, and the testing of recording and control instruments and test equipment.
