Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking an experienced Repair Development Engineer to join the Aeroderivative Engine Operations (AEO) in West Chester. You will develop repair and inspection technologies for LM500, LM5000, LM6000 and other aeroderivative engines, collaborating with engineering, manufacturing and customer facilities to drive performance and serviceability.

You will lead technical initiatives, mentor engineers, prepare recommendations for internal stakeholders, and ensure robust documentation.

Qualifications

Requires mechanical/ aerospace engineering background and strong problem-solving ability.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to influence across teams.
Experience leading small projects and mentoring junior engineers preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop repair and inspection technologies for aeroderivative engines.
Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing and operations to implement repairs.
Lead technical discussions and present recommendations to stakeholders.
Mentor less experienced engineers and share best practices.
Document data, ensure policy compliance, and drive continuous improvement.
Lead small projects with moderate risk and coordinate cross-functional teams.
