Job Description

Position Purpose:

Repair and Tool Technicians are responsible for evaluating and repairing small engines, outdoor power equipment, and handheld electrical devices. They make equipment recommendations and ensure units are properly maintained. Technicians work both in our stores with Tool Rental Centers and in our repair centers.

In-store, technicians provide service to customers in Tool Rental, including writing customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs, checking tool operation, and demonstrating proper use as needed. They also handle the day-to-day operation and maintenance of equipment in the tool rental department.

In non-store locations, technicians ensure units are repaired, tested for quality, cleaned, and then returned to the originating store. They must have thorough knowledge of all tools and effectively manage tool inventory by maintaining and repairing tools as necessary.
