Job summary

R.S. Hughes Company, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator in Cypress, TX to safely operate repackaging equipment for liquids such as adhesives and epoxies. You will follow SOPs to ensure accurate fill volumes, maintain lot traceability, and run the line efficiently.

The role requires a high school diploma and a valid driver license. Training will be provided, and the company offers a comprehensive benefits package and competitive pay. Full-time, non-exempt position with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

High school diploma required.
Valid state driver license required.
Ability to follow written procedures precisely and maintain accurate production records.
Basic math skills to verify fill volumes/weights against target specifications.
Ability to safely operate a drum lift and work around pressurized equipment.

Responsibilities

Interpret Job Travelers, BOMs and routing processes.
Set up workstation and verify correct dispensing nozzle and equipment.
Inspect source containers for identity and labeling and ensure no damaged/unlabeled containers.
Position drum lift, pour into hopper, and ensure leak-free connections.
Prime machine and verify fill volume/weight matches target before production fills.
Operate the machine to fill target containers and apply correct closures.
Monitor fill consistency by checking weight/volume at intervals.
Maintain inventory and replace drums to avoid air entrainment.
Label finished units with product name, lot number, fill quantity and date.
Complete production log with required details.
Shutdown and clean equipment after each run.
