Job summary

AmTrust Financial Services, Inc. is seeking a Property Claim Representative for our Renter’s Programs to handle low severity property claims, including contents losses and tenants’ liability claims. Under moderate supervision, you will investigate, evaluate, and settle claims in compliance with policies and applicable laws.

The role is hybrid: four days in office and one remote day, with travel as needed. A bachelor’s degree and an adjuster license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in business/finance/engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in Property Claims estimating software and related tools.
• Ability to evaluate financial analyses and reserves.
• Experience adjusting renters’ insurance, contents, and GLPD claims.
• Current and valid adjuster license or ability to obtain one.
• Strong knowledge of property insurance policies, coverages, laws and regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
• Able to travel frequently and adapt to changing schedules.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle Renter’s Program claims within authority.
• Review documents to verify coverage, liability, and damages.
• Determine extent of damage and identify risks.
• Interpret Renters and Tenant Liability policy forms to establish coverages and exclusions.
• Establish reserves and negotiate settlements.
• Provide timely updates to policyholders, agents, contractors, and attorneys.
