Job summary

Arizona Snowbowl in Flagstaff, AZ is seeking a Seasonal Rental Technician to size and fit guests with ski/snowboard equipment and provide outstanding guest service. You will assist guests with boot selection and ensure proper fitting, while handling equipment checks and safety procedures.

The role includes training in helmet fitting, boot fitting, and equipment certifications, with emphasis on teamwork, guest satisfaction, and smooth shop operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests with boot selection and proper fitting.
• Issue equipment according to guest requests.
• Inspect skis, snowboards, bindings, boots, helmets for damage or compatibility.
• Contribute to inventory management and equipment retrieval.
• Maintain a clean, organized rental shop and work space.
• Answer guest questions about rental procedures and equipment.

Job DetailsJob Location: Arizona Snowbowl - FLAGSTAFF, AZ 86002Position Type: Seasonal

Purpose of the position:

Responsible for sizing and fitting guests with proper ski/snowboard equipment and providing excellent guest service to ensure a great customer experience. Not only does a rental technician prepare rental equipment for the guest, they are also responsible for informing the guest on how to properly use the equipment and answer any questions guests may have. A rental technician must be friendly and helpful to both teammates and guests.

Qualifications

Essential Functions

• Basic knowledge of Arizona Snowbowl
• Assist teammates with the setup and break down of the rental shop
• Assist guests with boot selection and proper fitting
• Obtain current binding certifications for companies carried in the shop (Tyrolia, Elan, Look, etc)
• Issue proper equipment according to training, information given and customer's request
• Adjust equipment in accordance with manufacturer's specifications.
• Uphold Snowbowl policies and procedures
• Effectively answer guest questions in regards to ski area, rental procedures, and equipment
• Responsible for contributing to inventory management. Retrieve and return equipment from various locations, lost and found equipment logs, etc.
• Inspect snowboards, skis, bindings, boots, helmets and poles for damage, malfunction, and compatibility
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Possess excellent teamwork skills
• Keep a clean and tidy work space
• Any other reasonable tasks and duties as assigned for the success of the company wide operations

Education / Training / License(s) / Certification(s) Requirements

• Certification of proper helmet fitting and safety (Provided by Manager)
• SDS Certification (Provided by Manager)

• Must attend all training hosted by rental manager and supervisor

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Lifting up to 25 pounds
• Cleaning/maintaining lodge and department areas such as tech stations, boot and ski racks, common areas, ect
Snow and Ice removal as required
