Job summary

Steven Automotive Group in Harrisonburg, VA is seeking an experienced Rental Fleet Operations Manager to own and grow the dealership's rental and loaner fleets. You will drive utilization, profitability, and outside business development.

The role combines fleet management, team leadership, budgeting, and partnerships with insurance companies and service departments. You will lead a frontline team and report to dealership executive leadership.

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years of car rental management experience.
• Assistant Branch Manager or Branch Manager experience preferred.
• Proven experience leading frontline teams and managing fleet operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow the rental and loaner fleet while maximizing utilization and profitability.
• Oversee daily fleet operations, vehicle turnaround, staging, and availability.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and lead rental staff, detailers, and lot attendants.
• Develop relationships with insurance companies, collision centers, repair facilities, and commercial accounts.
• Manage department financial performance, damage recovery, claims, contracts, and fleet software.
• Work closely with Service, Sales, and Body Shop leadership to support customer mobility.
