Rental Field Service Technician II (Finance)

Overview

Stewart & Stevenson is now hiring a Rental Field Service Technician II at 5717 IH I-10 East, San Antonio, TX 78219. The technician is responsible for diagnosing problems and performing standard mechanical repairs on customer's compressors, generators, and related rental equipment at the customer's location.

Responsibilities

1. Identify and order parts necessary for repairs and routine maintenance.
2. Perform standard repairs on compressors, generators, and related rental equipment; replace parts and equipment as necessary.
3. Perform routine maintenance and setup of rental equipment according to established guidelines and schedules.
4. Complete all work orders and time sheets accurately and promptly.
5. Adhere to Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) protocols.
6. Plan and organize yard and field schedules and work methods to complete assigned jobs.
7. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
8. Perform all work according to quality standards and safety procedures.
9. Accurately troubleshoot and diagnose standard problems across all brands of compressors, generators, and related rental equipment.

5. Ability to obtain a valid medical card.

Computer Skills

1. Basic computer navigation skills.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred.

Certificates & Licenses

1. Certifications from compressor and generator manufacturers (e.g., Atlas Copco, MQ) are a plus.
