Job Description

Summary:

The Rental Clerk is responsible for assisting with the dealership's fleet of loaner vehicles which are provided to customers while their own vehicles are being serviced.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Ensuring vehicles are clean, fueled, and ready for customer use.
  2. Handle the check-in and check-out process for loaner vehicles, including explaining the terms of use, documenting customer information, and providing vehicle keys.
  3. Coordinate with the service department to provide customers with loaner vehicles during their service appointments.
  4. Maintain accurate records of loaner vehicle agreements, including customer details, vehicle assignment, mileage, and condition reports.
  5. Inspect vehicles before and after use, documenting any damages or issues.
  6. Provide friendly and efficient customer service, addressing any questions or concerns.
  7. Demonstrate strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  8. Exhibit excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  9. Maintain strong attention to detail to uphold the dealership’s professional appearance.
  10. Must be authorized to work in the USA.
  11. Must be willing to undergo pre-employment compliance requirements: Drug testing, background check, MVR.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Prior experience in a rental car or loaner vehicle environment.

Compensation (Hourly):

$23.00 / hour

*The Rental Clerk position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of twenty-three dollars an hour*

Schedule:

  1. FULL TIME
  2. 5 days a week / 2 days off
  3. Sundays off
  4. Weekend availability required
  5. Service Drive Hours:
  • Monday - Friday: 7:30am to 6pm
  • Saturday: 7:30am to 5:30pm
  • 401k plan with company match
  • Paid Time Off accrual
  • Closed for Thanksgiving day and Christmas day
